Calling was so engrossed in searching the surrounding area for anything out of the ordinary, that she almost didn't notice when the sound of the wind was covered by a sharp squawking. She whipped her head around and backpedaled with her wings, searching for the source of the noise when she saw Scrap squirming and fluttering as if trying to catch her attention.
With a sigh, she turned around and settled into a soft dive back to where the two were waiting. "Yes?" she called as she landed, "I think I saw something moving off to the left, but it could have just been the wind."

Sunshine stepped up to explain things before Scrap could quite catch her breath.

Many apologies, Calling! I just thought that you might like to have a descyription of Leaf, since he likely took off too quickly foyr you to have gotten a good look at him. He is a veyry yround, fluffy soyrt of Samanayr, his fuyr shades fyrom yellow to a deep gyreen. He has featheyry wings also, in the same coloyrs.

Though, now that I think on it, you'll pyrobably heayr him befoyre you see him, he's almost as much of a chatteyrbox as Scyrap, heyre!

She softened her words with a smile and a wink at Scrap.

There were a few moments of puffing from Scrap as Sunshine took over the explanation of why Scrap had waved Calling back down. Her head bobbed up and down in agreement with Sunshine, not pausing for a moment in her agreement even when Sunshine refered to her as a chatterbox.

Soon after she had recovered enough to speak again, though somewhat breathlessly. "And we have to find him soon! Oyr else the monsteyr he was yellling about might get him fiyrst! And that would be bad. Veyry bad. So we have to find him! You think you saw him Calling? Let's go then! Chaaaayrge!" And with that she was up and spinning around, trying to figure out which left was the right left. "This way? Oyr this way? Maybe this way? Oh no! The monsteyr made eveyrything all tuyrned ayround!"

With that Scrap plopped right back down where she'd started from, looking more than a little dizzy.

Calling's nice peaceful afternoon of rest and relaxation, taking advantage of the beautiful sunny day and warmth this late in the season, was quickly getting out of hand. A quest for a missing Samanayr, and now a monster? What was the world coming to?
"Well, if Leaf is so noisy, we betteyr huyryry up and find him before that monsteyr does. The noise will lead it strait to him."

As Scrap spun around crazily in the air, twisting and turning as she tried to figure out which way to go, eventually dropping back down in a feathery ball, Calling pointed off to the left where she had seen the motion from the air. "It was over theyre," she stated, narrowing her eyes slightly in an attempt to penetrate the bushes with her gaze, "Although I can't be suyre whetheyr oyr not it was Leaf, the monsteyr, oyr something else entiyrely. We should pyroceed cayrefully otheyrwise we might fly..." at that she paused and looked back at Sunshine's land bound form, "...oyr walk, styraight into its tyrap!"

Sunshine nodded.

"I will follow youyr lead as best I can, Calling. Thank you foyr helping us find my silly scatteyrbyrained Leaf!"

"Ok, so heyre's my thoughts on what we should do. I saw some movement in those bushes oveyr theyre, so I think we should maybe split up into two teams and come ayround the bush fyrom the sides. That way whateveyr is hiding in the bushes won't know we'yre coming and we'll have the advantage of suyrpyrise. Remembeyr if you get lost, we can meet up oveyr theyre by that huge tree. What do you guys think?" Calling's feather crest had flattened with all her thinking and she slowly raised it back up, giving her head a shake, as she waited for their responses.

A rather dizzy Scrap lay in a boneless heap on the ground and blinked at Calling in uncomprehending confusion for a few minutes as the other Sa'grisayr laid out a plan to go locate the missing Leaf. The world still seemed to be spinning for Scrap, not really an uncommon feeling, though this time she hadn't actually set out to make herself dizzy. The first thing she managed to grasp was that they needed to go attack the bushes that Calling had pointed at.

Tuning out any further conversation Scrap stumbled to her feet, and bound off after the bushes. Or say rather, tried to bound off after them. What actually happened was that she raced two steps, then tripped over her own feet and landed upside down with a brain rattling thud. Staring up at the sky she dramatically ruined the element of surprise unless whoever or whatever lurked in the bushes was exceptionally hard of hearing.

"It tyrapped the land! It tyrapped the land! It's got me! Yrun while you still can, go yrescue Leaf!" Her dramatically outflung talon would probably have been more effective if it hadn't sideswiped her own ear on the way and gotten a tuft of fur stuck to it.

After a few moments of stunned silence after Scrap took off and crashed, Calling stirred into action. Their plan was in ruins, whatever was in the bushes would most definitely have heard and noticed Scrap's attempted storming of the bushes. When nothing stirred for a few moments, nothing jumped out from the bushes, Calling rushed out to Scrap's aid.
"Ayre you all yright? You took a pyretty nice tumble theyre. Do you think you can still walk?" Calling asked Scrap, all the time still on the lookout for any movement in the bushes that their position had been made.
