Same! I'd love to play it but as an unemployed college graduate I have no monies to get a 3DS right now.

I haven't done any real "serious" playing since my old friend Blue, so I can't accurately compare it to the recent ones. I'm having a BLAST, though. The pacing is really good, the art is really good, and there are a few things (changing appearance! roller skates! horde battles!) that I just adore.

I'm only like 2 badges in right now, but it's definitely got my vote.

I've heard it's a ton if fun! Wish I had the money for it, but it looks like I'll be waiting for my birthday. I do have a 3ds though; here's my friend code: 0559-6782-0860

Right now I'm playing Animal Crossing. It's adorable.

We got our son Y for his birthday and I think he was actually sad for a while that he had a friend over and couldn't play it right away! I only have a regular DS myself, so I'm working on Leaf Green. Hubby is playing Black, and I think we're getting our daughter a DS for Christmas so she can play too. We're a little Poke-crazy :)

New Pokemon games: College student edition.

Ask guys in the student lounge to let me play their game when they get bored/have to do something work.
Do nothing but play Poke-amie so you can squee at the cute models of the Pokemon.
Success.
(Have fun you guys! :D)

I checked to see where Purrloin can be found but bulbapedia says they aren't in X or Y, you'll need to get one traded in from Black or White.

Augh, I should have thought to look here for Pokemon codes! I'm on my way up Victory Road right now, looking forward to Friend Safari! I need a Ponyta; a friend gave me one he caught in Friend Safari but he named it something intentionally stupid and mean so I'm going to release it when I get a new one >(

Anyway! My friend code is 1590-4700-9951

Personally I'm pretty happy with the new Pokemon. It definitely moves a lot faster and is a lot easier than previous games; I've literally never finished a Pokemon game before (though I've played Yellow, Ruby, Diamond, SoulSilver, and White previously) because it always gets to a point where I have to grind to beat a gym or the Elite Four, and I HATE grinding with a FIERYPONYTA PASSION. Haven't had to grind at all so far this game. Judging by Victory Road, the Elite Four are going to be difficult but not impossible, huzzah!

And of course, how can you not get enjoyment out of all of the 3D Pokemon models? It took me a while to figure out how to pet something other than my Xerneas' legs in Pokemon-Amie but it's worth it XD

ETA: Puuka, it told me your friend code was invalid :(

This suggestion probably skates the thin line of legal, but those of you with Android can get an emulator. Classic gb, gbc, gba, ns ds. For copyright reasons, I'd suggest this if you already have the rom.

Does anyone know how fan made roms fall on the copyright laws? I don't want to be keeled dead for not respecting art and artists :p

@Puuka - I'll see if I can catch a Liepard and breed you one. The Pokedex says I can find them on Route 15 so I'll head over there!

EDIT: just caught one, it's breeding you a Purrloin right now! Your friend code didn't work for me either though...

Oh, yay! Thank you Silvermoondragon!
I think I read on Serebii that it could be caught only in Y.

I fixed my friend code. lol. Mixed up the first two numbers. This is my correct friend code:

4012-4652-2382

---
I totally agree with you, Pristine. I love playing the games and have owned at least one of each set, but I don't think I've finished one since blue. I tend to get through most of the gyms and areas then get so tired of grinding that I just taper off and lose interest. This one is so much fun though! I love all of the different aspects to it with mini games and playing with your pokemonom in Amie. So far I'm pretty addicted. xD

Also, Pristine, can you just change your Ponyta's name at the name rater guy in Camphrier Town? Then you won't have to get a new one. I don't know anything about traded pokemon's names or friend safari, so I don't know if that's an option like it is with pokemon you've caught yourself.

Woo, beat the Elite Four and Champion last night! Friend Safari'd all night and this morning.

Silvermoondragon is my only friend with a Fire safari and I think she gave me Pansear, no Ponyta. Argh! x.x

Puuka: I'm glad I'm not alone on not beating Pokemon, I always felt pretty lame having to quit it. Especially the time I got all the way to the Elite Four and quit, that sucked.

Re: Pokemon names, unfortunately only the person who caught them can change the name. I could send the Ponyta back to him and tell him to change the name for me... but judging by how immature this particular friend of mine is, he would probably just come up with another mean and dumb name and send it back to me >P

I'm playing X. I just beat the Elite Four for the second time. I am trying to fill up my Pokedex. I don't do much battling but I have Extra Chespins if anyone needs one. My brother has Y and he has extra Fennekins. Both male and female so if you want a girl Chespin or Fennekin I can trade you one, lol!

Here is my friend code. 4441-8451-3902 Anyone can add me I don't care, Just let me know so I can add you too. :D

My friend safari is Ice... I think lol I'll have to ask my brother again XD

I also have Animal Crossing New Leaf if anyone plays that.

EDIT*

I added everyone above just in case you add me too :D

Elven, I would love a Chespin! They are so cute!
Also, adding you now. :D

Does anyone have an extra Charmander? I took Bulbasaur from the Prof, but I really want Charizard at some point too. xD

@Pristine - Sweet, I'm a fire safari? That's awesome! Sorry I didn't get you a Ponyta though... maybe the next time? I'm only just at the Elite Four now so I'm eagerly awaiting this Friend Safari thing...

@Puuka - do you have any name preferences for your Purloin? She hatched today so I named her Perla, but I can rename her if you'd like. Now we just have to find a time when we're both online at the same time so we can trade! I can also breed you a Charmander if you still need one.
