Biadora!!! So glad you are here! ^_^ I dont think Sams have an expiration... lol Once Sushi assigns an owner, it's normally done! They are theirs. However, I would think eventually she would re-home it if it never got named. I suggest going onto the "Do stuff for me" Section in the forum and name your sam!
