And just like that the race is over! Both Stalk and Sentinel ran towards the finish, neck and neck, but in the end Stalk manages to push ahead by only a little, crossing ahead of Sentinel and claiming second place.

Winded and covered in mud, but pleased with herself Stalk, well...stalked through the marshes past the finish line. She was trembling with nerves and excitement and fighting to keep herself from kicking and slashing and just generally making a scene out of joy. She bobbed her head at the others, noting for the first time another set of glowing eyes that was slightly familiar. She'd not paid much heed to who else was in the race before now. But now...she'd accept her shining metal and then...maybe there were hot waters somewhere out in the swamp for soaking in?

((Whoo! Good race everyone! Congrats to the other winners! And thank you for hosting it Silver! I do love the interactive races! Gives me a good excuse to do what I tend to do anyways and comment every round! But now...I think I'm going to bed. If the number of typos I've had to correct in writing this is any indication...I need to go sleep... Good night everyone!
