We never hunted the plastic eggs. Only the real ones, and every so often there'd be one that wasn't found until a month or two later. Never a pleasant experience. Though there was usually one prize egg that would get the finder a nice five dollar bill.

We mostly hunt the plastic eggs (or loose packaged candy). Eggs may have coins, bills, rocks, candy, or a combination of the above in them. The few times we had real eggs there was a money prize for finding one and turning it in as an incentive to make sure they all got found.

That happened to us one year when I was little! Found an egg at Christmas. That was something all right.

All of my eggs were plastic, and they always had candy in them (no money.. XD) I always traded for the good candy because I'm picky and won't eat a lot of flat chocolate (Reese's peanut butter cupsss) XD

When I was little, I had a little old German woman who played "Easter Bunny" for me. She'd hide confetti-filled eggs, with realistic shells, that I then would pelt the neighbors with. Luckily I was adorable or they'd have killed me by now! ^__^

Im doing an easter egg hunt with plastic eggs with my siblings, for the prize that whoever finds the most will get a free ice cream... if I end up getting the job at the ice cream shop. XD

We never had the chance to hide the regular eggs because my dad would take them and make deviled eggs... leaving us high and dry.. SO... we got plastic ones. Just about the same as Origami is what we did ^^ My mom would do a variety of stuff in them.

I'd much rather have deviled eggs than real eggs on the hunt! Yummy!

We didn't dye any eggs this year... It was just going to be me interested in doing it...and it's not so fun by yourself...

December, Jaes? That's crazy. There was one year where we found an egg from the previous year... that wasn't very pleasant either.

I forget if it was me or my sister who found it, but we couldn't believe it at first. And then there was a mad dash to get it out of the house before it exploded.

A year-old egg? Blech! I bet that's a specialty somewhere, though!

Yeah, I'd forgotten about the year-old one till my sister said something. Luckily all of ours were hidden outside, so we marveled at it for a little while and threw it away.

Oh wow! Thank you so much, Rikku. She's my first part of a pair. How exciting! 3 and 8 are both lucky numbers for me, so I'm really glad I was able to get that egg.
