There was a very slight disturbance in the sands, but it was only around her. It seemed weak and very light, as the sands swirled a bit, as if trying to weave together like cloth. Slowly, stripes of glass thread weave together as the sand is formed to glass. Her ears keep twitching as she tries to concentrate the energy she has, wanting something to wrap around the wounds. Her eyes were now clenched close, trying to keep a hold of herself and stay concentrated.
Despite the minor size of the oasis, it was quite lush and fruitful. Little critters running about, there had to be some sort of food source for them to be able to survive.

His eyes wandered over the plants, evaluating each in turn. Turning in place, he missed the movement by her, as he spots something that looks edible. Moving closer, he sniffs. Could this be the mangoes he was looking for? It certainty seemed safe to eat. Cautiously, he took a nibble, and promptly grabbed the entire fruit from the plant. Whatever it was, it was tasty!
After stuffing his mouth, he carefully gathered a few more, on a springy leaf. Holding both ends in his mouth to make a crude carrying bag, he returned to the mare, and lowered the fruit down to her. Water was close enough, and if not, he could get some, somehow. Blinking, he eyed the swirling sands. What was she doing?

The sands continued to be worked by her magic, as the beads all tried to wrap around, to form some solids. It took a few minutes and all the concentration and power she could muster up at this state, but she eventually was able to form cloth-like material to wrap around her wounds. Everything ached, everything pained, but at least she won't bleed out. She merely heard the stallion trotting about and getting something from the trees, but didn't look. Her eyes stayed shut, one ear raised, and the rest of her body limp against the ground.

Eying the mare, he watched and waited. Soon, the sands turned into bandages of some sort, wrapping around her wounds. He was impressed. His magic was usually only good for destroying things, although sometimes the rain he could summon was beneficial. Easing closer, he dropped the fruit in front of her, "Ayre you hungyry? I found these. Not suyre what they ayre, but they do taste good." If she didn't want to eat them, he'd be happy to. Although, he didn't want her to not eat, because that would mean that she'd probably die, and if there was a stallion in these parts, he'd be blamed for it.

"Mmm.. mrrmm?" That's all her voice was able to mange to let out. Just a murmur, but hey, she was at least able to recognize him talking to her. She slowly blinked open her eyes half way when she smelt the fruits in front of her. Her head tilted slightly to the side, eyeing them and sniffing them. Oh.. oh sweet, mangos! Lifting her hoofs from the sand, she brings the sweet fruit to her mouth, easily breaking into it with her fangs. Mmmm.. He can easily notice the slight pleasure the sweet fruit sent through her. A slight smile, and her ears perked up very slightly.

As she started eating the fruit, Misery felt as a wave of relief wash over him. She was getting nourishment, and would hopefully live to see another day. Nose twitching at the smell, he went to grab some more for himself, and then slipped into the pool. He was getting dry again, and needed to rehydrate. Eying the fish, he sent out the slightest of shocks, encouraging them to stay away from him. He did not want them tickling him again!

The fact that he apparently couldn't tell what mangos are surprised her a bit, but she made no action from it. She was just glad to have the sweet fruit slipping down her throat after being chewed up with her fangs. Her ears were pushed back, and her wings lay limp against her sandy back. The cool sand under her, the sweet fruit in her mouth, and the kindness this male has given her... if only it had happen a few minutes prior to all this.

She seemed to be enjoying the fruit. Eyes closed, wings, or rather, what was left of her wings, limp against her back, body relaxed. He eased a bit closer, staying in the water. He coughed softly, once, to get her attention. "Ayre you alyright now?" He was concerned about her, that much was plain. However, his own conscience wouldn't let him rest without adding in a second question, "Do you have a stallion at all?" He waited, a bit anxiously for her answers. If she had a stallion, he'd have to leave. He was no poacher!

Hearing his cough, and getting out of the water, her inorganic ear turned to the stallion, a dark brown eyebrow lightly perking up. Her teeth in the fruit, she gave him a slight, weak smile at his first question along with a light yes nod. She should be able to get better now, as long as she doesn't get attacked again. She just needs time to rest and hea- hm? Her thoughts were interrupted when he also tossed out his second inquiry. Pftb, a stallion? She's been living alone for years now. She nods side-to-side her head, to let him know that she has no stallion before gently biting away at another mango.

Misery stared in stunned amazement. No stallion? She lived here alone? Wait, she might not be alone. She might belong to a bachelor song. They could be looking for her. "Do you live alone heyre?" Still, no stallion meant he could relax a bit, and not worry about having to fight. Although, some of the mares he'd met were just as vicious as the stallions! And another worry, there might be more of those things. "Ayre theyre moyre of those bug things heyre?"

Her blue-green eyes now were fixated at her companion, watching his movements like a hunter-a wounded hunter, but still a hunter- and had her inorganic ear perked up at him. Her eyes remained only half open, and were slightly confused by his looks. She's never known of a Misery, so seeing a backmane on another samanayr made her tilt her head. At the question of her being alone, she again admits that she's alone with a nod, also nodding to the other bugs, with her eyes growing worry. She can't run more like this!
(Drat. Out of backlog. xD More, after my homework!)

He frowned then, "That could be a problem. I'm just about all out of magic at the moment. Any moyre and I'll collapse." Treading water, he pondered the issue. If they could run or walk out, that might work. The only problems with that were that he was not built for the desert, and he also didn't think she was well enough for it. Those bugs had been nasty. He could fly out, but would he be able to carry her? He might be able to, if he was fully rested, and it was cooler out. There had been a spring near the edge of the desert where he came in, he might be able to make it there with a passenger.
Turning back to the Mystic, he considered. She was smart, alone, and appeared to be sweet. He could scarcely leave her here in these conditions. If it turned out they were incompatible, he could make sure that she found the Rainbow Hotsprings, and leave her there. If they did work out, Traveler might like another mare that wasn't able to fly herself. That decided him.
"How would you like to fly out?"
