There was far to much good luck going to front runners Snap thought and making up her mind cracked open and ill-will spell. "Tusk," she whispered. While she had to admire the heavier sam's gumption Snap didn't like to lose.

(6 left for me)

Calamity watched the race, or at least the ticket booth, impatiently- even with the explicit permission to sabotage some of the racers, everyone had been going for only the 'good' spells. Really, it made her wonder why she bothered trying to be amused by other Sams at all- even annoying her dam hardly made up for it. But wait, what was this- finally, another Sam decided make things a little more interesting! She smiled to herself- it was a start, anyway. Well, she could still push that boundary a bit more...and why not?
Slippery banana peel on Pursuer! (8/10 tickets spent- and apologies to the Pursuer bettors! ^^)

And I'm so jealous of your paleobiology class Echos! It almost makes me wish I had gone to a larger school. XD

As the racers continue running, the front runners come across the next obstacle, the entrance to a deep ravine.
Image

Kentouma's tailwind spell whips up a nice big wind behind Tusk giving a +1 speed boost, but she trips up a little in the ravine.

Tierasa's goodwill spell floats lazily along the course before stopping and giving Question a +1 speed boost

Janalee's tailwind spell almost blows Scaling off her feet, but she manages to bring up her wings and takes advantage of the +1 speed boost

Operetta's sends off her goodwill spell; however, it seems to be a little slow to have an effect

Echos' tailwind spell causes the current to swell behind blood, pushing her a little ahead with a +1 speed boost

((so many spells :O))

@ Kentouma - feel free to use more than one spell if you'd like.

Feathered ears flicking, Flicker throws three tickets into the Sharian's till and snatches a tailwind Spell.

"For Tusk!" She says with a grin!

(2 left? I need to double check...)

Yildun wakes up and notices the races have started. She rushes to the ticket booth, shaking 3 tickets in hand. After giving them up, she hastily grabs a bag filled with shimmering dust, for the Tailwind Spell, and blows it towards the racers.

"Scaling! You can do it!"

(LOL I dunno how anyone else has done the same effect. I just noticed and rushed to do something useful.

Urgh, also probably should have used a Sam... I should really get to bed, but... I haven't been helping. :O)

Operetta's goodwill spell finally makes it's way over to Flash, adding a +1 speed boost

Kentouma's goodwill spell floats into the air but has no effect this turn

Operetta's tailwind spell gusts up behind Flash, helping her get a +1 speed boost

Seren sends a tailwind spell over to Equid giving her a +1 speed burst

Echos' ill will spell lazily wanders it's way over to Tusk, but has no effect this turn

Janalee's banana peel lands in front of Pursuer but he is able to doge in time to avoid its slippery danger

((I think I got everyone's spells in there))

My Tailwind Spell went to Scaling. :|

Also, Janalee gave her the Goodwill Spell. XD

Erm, I think there were a few missed, even if they take no effect or is that why?

Tailwind spell for Question... Retinue hands over the tickets and immediately casts the spell. It was getting close to the end now, and she couldn't risk losing. (6/10 left)

Ruby trades a ticket for a good will spell, offering it to Tusk with hopeful eyes, praying the mare can catch her second wind!

((Okay, last ticket))

Glint of the Ice Prism gallops up to the course - did he miss the race? No! Just in time! Panting around his mouthful of tickets, he drops them at the foot of a Sharian and shouts "Head wind spell on Notch!"

Watching his spell drift away, Glint mutters darkly to himself, "Now who's short?" They must have had some words before the race started..

Also, second Tailwind Spell on Scaling, this round. I'm hoping they'll kick in before it's over... :\

Ill will spell on Pursuer.

(4 tickets, so I'm down to 3 tickets now.)

Snickering with characteristic Sak'rien's gleeful maliciousness, Pearl drops a ticket on the booth surface and snatches up an ill will spell, knocking other sams aside in her eagerness to cause mayhem as she glances at the forerunners and makes her choice, then throws it onto the track.

"Pursuer! she hisses. ((No offense guys, each of my sams got a spell, but my Pearl is a nasty bit of mischief so it had to be a bad intent... Rolled through the leaders for who she would target because I might have to go... No more tickets for me! *crosses fingers and cheers racers*))

I used a tailwind spell a bit above that. The two together equal eight.
