Water is a neat idea, but I'd worry his running on top of the water and not swimming would disqualify him... similar to flyers entering the ground races and having to stay grounded, I think he'd actually have to be in the water to compete.

Then again, I'm not running the competition.

I don't have any good swimming sams, but if someone without a sam wants to use any of mine- excepting Hunter and Charge- they're welcome to! Most of mine look like they'd be good fliers.

I'm a bit confused as to how the Triathalon signups work. So... Only one Sam can be yours, right? So you have to find two other Sams to participate. But do you just put those two on the form, and that's the end of it? Or do the other two's owners have to submit the form as well? In which case, wouldn't that count as their one entered Sam? *confused*

EDIT: But then, if you're borrowing two Sams and they don't count as their owners entries, then wouldn't you then be entering three Sams in your own name, and thus going over the limit?

As I read it, the Triathalon is a team of three people. They each submit one of their Sams (or one they borrowed), and that is their entry to the event. Three owners, three Sams, one team. They each submit a form for their Sam, and none of them can enter either of the other two categories.

So yes, each person has to submit a form and it does count as their one entered Sam. A Triathalon team consumes three users' entry slot.

That's how I read it as well Origami, that the Triathlon team was three people and their owned/borrowed sams and that was their race entry.

As an update on things, we currently have 11 people trying for ground, 8 for water, and we have 1 team and one random for the triathlon so far. According to pm's I have received.

@ RikkuGirl - You can enter the water race with your misery if you'd like. I'm not entirely sure if freezing the water to run on it would be ok, I'd have to discuss that with Sushi, but he might be able to freeze the water along behind him propelling him a little, or it could help out with obstacles.

@Bluestarwolf12 - Yes, Origami_Dragon and Orasteele are correct, three people(with their chosen Samanayr) enter the triathlon as a team together and that is their one Samanayr they are allowed to enter into the race.

@ Esperanza - Of course you can, they can run just as well as any non-winged Samanayr, they just aren't allowed to fly during the race, only run.

Ew, I hope you're feeling all right! I just got all four of mine taken out last week. The bottoms were the worst. I hope you heal up quickly and don't have any complications!

@ Pristine - It's not too bad so far, just a dull ache. I had the bottom two removed a few years ago before they had grown their roots which was a lot worse with the stitches and everything but these ones were just a simple pulling them out so it was a lot quicker.

@ RikkuGirl - Go ahead Just send me in a new form with him entered into the water race.

I sent in for the tri with a flyer, so if anyone is still looking for a flyer you can random form it like me and we can team

I have received the effects of the triathlon medal:

They're all amulets and all have the special Triathlon Triplet Attachment, which increases the chance of triplets to 10%

Triathlon Multiple Tails Amulet - Gives the Multiple Tails trait.
Triathlon Multiple Horns Amulet - Gives the Multiple Horns trait.
Triathlon Seraphim Amulet - Gives the Seraphim trait.

For all three amulets, the type of tail, horn, or wings will be a surprise

Also, I will be starting the races around 10:00am tomorrow (Aug. 13)

Since there are still some spots available, I will open up registration again until the races start tomorrow. You may now enter a second Samanayr if you would like. Preference will be given to those who have not yet entered a Samanayr.
