I'm so sorry to take so long with the judging for this and the cooking contest! The design contest was especially difficult as there were 36 entries and so many of them appealed to me XD I hope we'll get to see some of them as 'real' Sams in the future!

The participation prizes should also have been added to everyone's inventories - let me know if you didn't receive yours! All participants received a random tradeable item.

And here's the results!

First place - Pathos!
Pathos submitted an Aquatic Samanayr descended from a Sa'krien and an Aquatic. I was intruiged by the idea of the Sa'krien dam trying to create a foal that would assist her in taking territory on land and in the water and ending up with a sweet non-Sa'krien foal instead, and I think her traits and coloration will make a striking combination. You'll all get to take a look at her in a few days when she's all finished

First runner-up - Harroway!

Second runner-up - superdoug!

As with the 200th Samanayr, the 600th will be designed by you

Your task is to create a creative, interesting, unique Samanayr! You can describe your entry with text, a picture you drew, picture references, however you feel you can best describe your idea! Entries will be judged by myself and Mr Sushi based on creativity, uniqueness, color and markings combinations, and how I feel they would work as a Samanayr. The winner will have their Samanayr created as the 600th Samanayr! There's also additional runner-up prizes, and a prize for everyone who enters

Here's some things to keep in mind when designing:

- Samanayrs are very small - the size you see on the screen is pretty much how small I draw them. Keeping that in mind, it can be difficult for me to do very small details and markings.
- You're welcome to use any almost any species and traits (see below for exceptions). However, if using a particularly rare species, or a number of traits, your design should be pretty spectacular XD
- Your entry can be as detailed as you'd like - you determine the Sam's name, species, colors and markings, gender, trait(s), any accessories, and personality. Reference images are definitely a plus!
- Each Samanayr can have up to one pet accompanying it if you'd like!

And the actual rules:

- There is a limit of one entry per person.
- The only species that can't be used are Kodyla, Rider, or Mystery.
- The only traits that can't be used are those with the 'unique' rarity, and those restricted to a particular species.

And the prizes!

First place - The winner's entry made into the 600th Samanayr! The winner will also receive a modiem of their choice.

Two runners up - A semi-custom Samanayr (you choose the colors), and a modiem of their choice.

All entrants - Everyone who submits an entry will receive a random tradeable item!

OMG! I have to put my thinking cap on. Can we pick the name, too? Did I miss that bit of info in my excitement? xD;

New traits aren't allowed, but you do get to pick the name as well, unless you really don't want to XD And crazy combinations are pretty much in the same category as rarer species - you can go nuts if you want to, but the design would have to be really super awesome to win!

Do you want the entry to be sent in using the custom form, or just in whatever format we feel is the easiest to understand?

Can the sam have a dragonet? I have a really cute pose, and a dragonet would top it all off nicely.

@Math - I hadn't thought about pets! I'll say each entry can have a pet as well.

Is it possible for a sam to have multiple kinds of horns? For example, antlers and ram horns, or unicorn horn and horn nubs?

Yep, a Sam can definitely have multiple kinds of horns!
