I've finally, finally updated the traits page Yay!

Some notes:

- If you've had a custom where the rarity of a particular trait was different than what's on the traits page, please let me know! Unfortunately I haven't kept track of rarity as well as I should have.

- Traits like Stone Hooves, Crystallized, and others to do with rocks and minerals have been replaced with Lapideus. Like Florae it's a catch-all for Sams who have parts naturally replaced with stone, metal, or minerals.

- Flame Hair has been incorporated into Ignis.

- There are two new categories, Elemental and Eyes.

- If there are any other traits not listed on this page please let me know.

- I probably forgot something!

Next step is to replace some of the older example images and try to make it a bit prettier, as I'm not a fan of the teeny tiny columns in the Elemental table o_x;

*raises hand* Albino still has no rarity listed? :3 Also, Bone Mask's rarity is 'Rrare'.

Whoo! Glad to see all the traits compiled together at last!

I did notice a couple things. I believe Bone Crown should be listed as designed by Aranea (LINK) and Crest's Webbed Paws didn't make it into the list (rare trait).

And this is just a matter of opinion, but is it necessary to have branches listed under wing types when the florae description includes branches? I only ask since it seems like you're trying to condense some of the traits.

Edit: Would the seashell related traits (Encrusted/Barnacled and Conchae) be incorporated into Lapideus or are they different enough to warrant their own elemental category?

I love looking at all the different traits! It's feeding my sam addiction.

Horizontal Pupil is listed twice: once in the new Eyes section then again in Other. Also, I noticed that Kirin Ears is in the Other section rather than Ears. That might be deliberate - Just thought I'd point it out.

Only trait I found to be missing is Opposable Hooves

Also missing is Tadpole Tail

Well done, Sushi! Although it is obvious that a lot of work went into updating the Traits page, the end result was certainly worthwhile. It is reassuring to know what level of rarity to which the newer traits are classified. Seeing how the appearance of Samanayrs have undergone an evolutionary process over the past few years, their development of so many different traits is rather amazing.

Besides Webbed Paws, Opposable Hooves, and Tadpole Tail, I would like to point out that Trunk isn't listed on the Traits page either.

@amazondreamer - That's a good point with Branches, I've decided they'll go with Florae as well. My thought with the elemental traits is that for customs and the like the owner can specify what kind of stuff they want where, and foals tend to inherit the same kinds of elemental bits that their parents have, so all the extra traits aren't really necessary.

Encrusted and Conchae I think are different enough to be their own traits. Conchae can incorporate living shellfish etc and the barnacles for Encrusted aren't actually growing out of, but instead on, the Sam, so it's not really an Elemental trait. I imagine that the Sam's skin has something on it that attracts barnacles XD

Heheeee, way to go Sushi! Sam's have so very many traits... It's so nice to see them all up there, looking just awesome.
Brew's Steam trait doesn't seem to be listed up there yet, but that's all I can spot. :3

Looking awesome! One question: Does metal scales count with Lapideus? I'm guessing that's a yes. XD

Velveted Coat and Velveted Fur seem to refer to the same thing. It's Fur in the db and on the traits page, but coat on the db statistics page.

Trunk, and probably more of the new additions are also missing from the db statistics page.

Albino still doesn't appear to have a rarity listed. :3

Biped is missing from the db statistics page (about 15 sams have it)


Would Perennial Growth be part of Florae?


Canine Nose (607, 662) is missing from the traits page.

Yaay! It looks so nice, and Frolic is an example Sam! |D

Saber Teeth also appear to be absent from the traits page. ^^ (#829 - Flight of the First Snow)

You can use my Burble as a tendril fins example if you want to replace one of the older pictures on your traits page. She has such lovely coloring, it would be a shame not to show her off.
