Haunted House

This is a spooky ground race through a haunted house. Who knows what your Samanayr will encounter within the walls of this creaking and groaning haunt but it's sure to cause a fright!

There are 10 spots open for this race.



This race will be a little different from a normal race and fairly similar to the previous haunted house race from 2009 (Oh wow... has it really been that long )

There will be no obstacles like in a regular race; however, there are a few special things to look out for in this haunted house:
- Each turn there is a chance that your Samanayr will get scared and not move on that turn (Note: this is completely random and does not depend on personality whatsoever).
- The haunted house is full of secret passages. If a Samanayr lands on the exact location of a secret passage, they will go through it. These passages may move a Samanayr forwards, or backwards.



Here are the spooky prizes available, one of each hairclip is available for each of the races:
Pumpkin hairclip: Offspring will have the Perennial Growth trait, but the 'tree' will be a pumpkin stem.
Vampire hairclip: Offspring will have fangs.
Ghost hairclip: Offspring will have ghostly, ethereal wings.

First place

- First pick from the hairclips(pumpkin, vampire, or ghost).
- One modiem of choice
- One random modiem

Second place

- Second pick from the hairclips(pumpkin, vampire, or ghost).
- One modiem of choice

Third place

- The hairclip left over
- One random modiem



The apply for a race spot, send a PM to my account, silvermoondragon (pm’s sent to Sushidragon may get missed), with the subject as Haunted House and the following form filled out:

Good evening everyone, any plans for Halloween tomorrow?

A row of Samanayrs stand outside the haunted house, preparing to enter and start the race.

As our Samanayrs start the race, a few racers stumble upon some trap doors and secret passages. To help keep track of these, a ghostly Samanayr shows where the roll ended, and the full Samanayr is where they ended up after heading through.

Ooooooooooh, tricky haunted house. Go Wail Go! XD

Come on, Wail! You can do it!

On go the racers dodging spider webs and bats as they navigate the creepy building.

*prods Wail* Did you injure yourself coming out of the gate? XD

More and more secret passages begin to reveal themselves as our races continue their journey.

AHAHAHAHA! Wail is secretly a big scaredy cat! XD

With all the secret passages, placings are changing constantly and the prizes could go to anyone!

Yay! Go, Wail! You can do it! It's not THAT scary! XD

...I feel like half of this house is actually secret passages... Probably almost no room to live in. Just passages.

Woo! Go Heart! Out-trick the trickiness! You can do it! :O

It looks like some of the racers are nearing the finish line, could the race be almost over or are there more passages to be discovered?


@Origami_Dragon - lol, yeah, I may have put in a few too many XD I feel like if I ever made a house it would be like this... secret passages EVERYWHERE!

Woo, go Snared! I'm going to laugh if/when she finds a path straight back to the beginning now... XD

You hit the Hoggle obstacle. Being a scaredy cat himself, he leads you straight back to the beginning. XD

Even as our racers close in on the finish, another passage is discovered and sends poor Wail almost to the start.

I knew it! I knew there was going to be one like that! Hahahahahaha!

::Snickers:: Poor Wail!

And go Heart! Go! Go for the trickiness!

The finish line is now in sight for our racers but who will win?

Maybe Wail just likes the slides! XD

And with this round two of our racers cross the finish with a sigh of relief. Sting managed to cross just a smidge ahead of Shiver in order to claim first prize.

Congrats! Poor Wail. He just wanted to leave.
