More formal volunteer system?

For a while I've been thinking about starting up a more formal volunteer system beyond me just making a post for help when I need it XD My idea is that people could sign up to volunteer in different categories (RP, live games, longer events, etc) and I could go down the lists when I needed people. Volunteers would earn points based on the type of events they run which could be traded in for valuable prizes ;D

I just really need help on the events front. My time is so limited that when I'm really active in Samanayr stuff my choice is either draw or run events, and while I love to run events I really really love to draw XD

Anyway, I'd love to know if this is something people would be interested in! I love that you guys are so willing to run events but I think it'd be nice to be a little more organized and to give event runners something for their trouble XD

A formal way to sign up would be nice- since some people can only run certain types of event, and you could have a more balanced system. :) And points! :O

XD oh Sushi XD XD That sounds good, to me, I think XD as for points, that's rather interesting for (Totally mysterious XD) valuable prizes, I think that'd be cool. Plus, it would be good for you, since you do 'seem' (understatement.. XD) to do a lot, it'd be nice for you - so... yes to the interested people part! XD

I think it sounds like a good idea. I'm with you, Sushi; I love drawing Samanayrs but I just don't have the time to be making up or running events. I'm always terrified I'll mess them up somehow, too. Enticing people to run some events could give you lots more time to draw Samanayrs, which I'm sure is something everyone would love... so long as you still run an event every once in a while and we still see you around, anyway. I don't want to see you hermiting off to your drawing desk! ;P

Makes sense to me, more time for you to draw and more events being run. This is a great community and there are so many folks who are happy to pitch in and lend a hand.

I agree with Pristine though, I hope you can still run some events ^_^

I definitely won't give up running events altogether, I just don't have the time to do things like RP events or live events (that don't take place at 9pm..) and I'd love to see more stuff like that happening I'm also going to have a lot less time in, oh, 8 more months, so it'd probably be a good idea to get this organized now XD;

I would love to be apart of that! its a very neat and exciting idea. I love the sam forums because of our ability to be apart of SAMS. its wonderful. I love running events and rp events. So im ioen for it all!
