On this evening, at a safe distance away from the festivities of the Spooky Races, an Oquiesa stood alone, leash wrapped and knotted securely around the trunk of a sturdy tree. Excited by the revelling Samanayrs and Sharians alike, Tyra pulled at the end of her leash, the strip of leather going taut as she panted, her tongue lolling and tail wagging a mile a minute. She barked twice, as if to wish her beloved mistress, "Good luck!"

Harro stands in the sidelines next to Hiss of the Faded Coral, holding up a sign high above her head. Painted on it were crude renditions of Searing of the Sands Aflame and Fury of the Cheated Hunter.

"Let's go, Sammies! Let's go!"

Hiss warily regards the human beside her and curls her long tail around her son protectively. And also to hold the squirming colt back from trying to charge into the race lineup after his father.

In the race lineup Searing stamps one hoof and snorts, ready to run. He isn't sure what to expect from this 'haunted house' but it's a race. And so he'll race.
