And they're off! Almost right away our racers come across a very dense forest, will the racers manage to navigate the narrow openings?

Oh my, I'm glad I tied that scarf around Dive's wings... That speed demon would be itching to stretch her wings and go really fast.

Looks like she's getting distracted!

The trees seem to be catching up most of the racers but one. How will this effect the end results?

Oooh, quite the pile up there...only three Sams not stuck. Watch your wings Prize! They may not be as delicate as full faery, but they're not as tough as full draconic either!

Prize: *rolls his eyes at the human telling him about his wings and continues threading his way through the forest*

A few more racers have gotten out of the forest, but it still remains a challenge for some.

One of the racers has made it high enough on the mountain to reach the snow, that's sure to slow things down a bit!

Oooh, looks like the snow's going to effect the entire last section of the race! And Prize is being overly cautious about those trees...don't think he can see what sort of a lead the others have over him right now.

Hey guys, I'm sorry I'm going to have to pause the races for a while... my dad just called and wants to take me for an early dinner. I'll finish things up as soon as I get back!

Omigosh, I hadn't expected Automaton to have run as well she did, given how the Robot Elemental was weighed down by all of her metal armour. Although she didn't win- coming in eighth place -I knew she had a lot of fun. So, I'm proud of her! <3

Congratulations to Kagari and Wanderer, Bluestarwolf12 and Slice, and SunBlind and Journey for coming out victorious in first, second and third respectively!

Well done to everybody else too. I have to concur with Jenn-- this was definitely one of the closest races we've seen to date, so it was good that we had a Sharian arbiter close at hand to ultimately decide on placements. All in all, it was a good, clean race around the hotsprings.

Best of luck to the participants of the second ground race and the flying race!

I'm eager to see the results of the next two contests but real life comes first. And I think the races are great btw! I hope there are more of them in the future.
