Freshmen are so... interesting. But, like I said, it was a good experience. Much to learn from. I also learned that, while I may be a little messy, there's always someone far worse than I am! (Yes, past roomie, I'm lookin' at you. >_>)

You said you were on the 6th floor, which was the top? Is that really nice? I imagine it's a lot less noisy since there's no one above you. I lived on the 5th floor of a 12 story building. The stairs were nice since no one used them.

Yah, it's pretty nice up here, there is only four of us in our alcove instead of the usual 6 per half floor(our residence is kinda strange and hard to explain, each side of the tower is one half floor below the other side) and we also don't have people half a floor below/to the side. Our bathroom only has one shower instead of two, but we have less people so it's not really a problem. We also have nice balconies(from which I can watch the snow falling, yay!!) although the balconies are kinda small and are not just on the 6th floor. Any partying in our tower generally takes place on the lower floors, so all the noise is generally blocked through the floors below, although some noise comes in through the balcony.

Unfortunately, there are no elevators here so we all have to take the stairs.

You didn't have showers? how did you keep clean???

And the balconies are more like little closets that open to the outside because they have two walls, a door, a window that can open half way, a ceiling, and well obviously a floor. I almost locked myself out once because the door only has a handle on the inside.

We had showers, but they were so disgusting that it wasn't worth it, so I showered at my parent's or friend's. :)

Happy belated turkey day to all you 'Marican folk! :D Luckily one of my friends hales from the south and so she cooked us up a delicious supper, too! It was awesome!

Mmmm, eggnog. XD My girlfriend's pop puts WAY too much rum in their homemade stuff. It tastes great, but you just can't drink as much.

:< I'm sorry to hear about the workings, Sky! I hope that you get some decent pay for working on holidays!

TGIF indeed! <3 Home for the holidays, a new tree being decorated, clean laundry, and pets everywhere.

So, does anyone have anything in particular planned for the holidays?

yup, we just decorated our tree today, and it's so nice to see my dog again, she had to have surgery while I was away and its nice to be able to see her and hug her. Luckily she has recovered nicely, and now constantly wants to play.

As for holiday plans, I plan to relax, visit with my family, and hopefully get up to our cabin and go skiing.

Both of our trees are now decorated, and I need to ship out my gifts to my family and wrap the rest. >_> Two finals to go, then I'm home free! My holiday will consist of working and painting, but most of all - relaxing! And oogling Sams.
