Samanayrs

As mentioned in the first post, Glint was a little.. liberal with the application of modiems on his foals this year. He's keeping quiet on exactly which modiems he used on which foal, but there must have been species modiems in there somewhere because each foal seems to be a purebred species! But, which species are they?
Since he's not sharing which species they are yet either, why not take a guess based on the traits they're showing? Everyone who responds correctly will be entered in a draw to win a variety of prizes, from modiems to this lovely Insect pet!
Rules!

- There is a limit of one entry per person.
- Some of the foals are more than one species, but you only need to guess one species correctly.

And since it can be a little difficult to tell which traits they have, thanks to their teenyness, here's a list of which foals is showing which traits! Some traits may also appear once they become adults. The list goes from left to right on the foal group image shown above

1 - Back Mane, Tines, Long Hooves, Upright Ears, Single Horn
2 - Kirin Ears, Kirin Horn, Feathered Wings, Tufted Tail, Full Tufts, Head Mane, Pure Black Eyes
3 - Beak, Talons, Feathered Wings, Feathered Tail, Pure Black Eyes, Single Horn
4 - Mystic Strands, Vestigial Feathered Wings, Pure Black Eyes, Large Upright Ears, Reduced Foot Tufts, Tufted Tail

*headdesk* Wow, I thought that was open a little longer.... I meant to send in an entry, but didn't realize it ended this morning!

Here's the results of the guess-the-species contest First, here's the foals' various species:

1 - Misery Sa'krien filly (this combo wasn't thought to be possible.. maybe it is only when you use modiems?)
2 - Kirin Lamanayr filly
3 - Sa'grisayr colt
4 - Mystic Desert filly

I so can't wait to show them off when they're all grown up! XD

The Insect pet is going with Xenon, a trait modiem goes to HybridSiren, a species modiem goes to AranelSaraphim, and a pattern modiem goes to Zincht! Congrats Thanks for playing, everyone!

Misery Sa'krien... oh my goodness. That is crazysauce. So it's basically a magical... oh wow.

Culturally, I'm sure that Sams will have a few things to say. Especially Mystics. How will Glint defend his actions? Inquiring minds... xD

Well, Glint got the modiems, but it's not clear if he decided what to do with them or the mares did. It also seems the Sharians still haven't heard what he's been up to.. hopefully he won't be in too much trouble when they find out >_>

Congrats to everyone who won! This was such a fun little game and all four of those crazy combo's sound amazing. I can't wait to see all of these grown.

In order to be more than one purebred species they must show all the traits for all species right?

Oooh, that is some crazy combos for those foals! A Misery Sa'krien in the same bunch as a Mystic? Talk about wild! Though it might mean that those two have a more relaxed view on the other species than is usual, having grown up with one. Can't wait to see them all grown up! Can't wait to see which one has which mother for that matter... Bloom is just fit to burst with excitement! I can't help but wonder if the Desert Mystic is her foal.

So 2 was a Kirin! I wasn't sure since scales weren't listed as being a trait. I can't wait to see them all grown up, I'm sure they're all super awesome!

*lol* and after I spent all that time trying to decide if #1 was a misery or a sa'krien! Very tricky, Sushi!

Misery Sa'krien? Kirin Lamanayr? Sa'grisayr? Mystic Desert? Those are some crazy-awesome purebred combinations which I never thought were possible, especially the first one! o_o Having said that though, it is visually appealing how the traits from the different species were mixed to create such unique, adorable foals. <3

Indeed. *nods* The birth of these foals and the shady circumstances behind them will cause quite a scandal to ripple throughout the Hotsprings. Not only all Samanayr-kin, the Sharians will also have words to say, of that I have no doubt, when they find out what Glint has done by going behind their backs. >_> While maybe he transgressed against the code of conduct, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Ooh, it's going to be interesting to watch this baby-drama unfold!

"Guess the Species" was a fun game, as well as tricky. Having to try and figure out exactly what species each foal is was tough but thought-provoking. It was a nifty way to introduce the newest crop of foals from Song of the Rainbow. I can hardly wait to see what they will look once they're all grown up! Thank you for holding this event, Sushi!
