Samanayrs

This month's race runs through a set of islands with the course set in the crystal clear waters between them. Get you swim caps on because it will be an aquatic course.

Island Splash

This is an aquatic course through the waters between a series of islands! Because this is an aquatic course, participants must be able to swim. Fins and other swimming related traits are not required but would be advantageous.

There are 10 spots open for this race.


Racing applications are now OPEN. The apply for a race spot, send a PM to my account, silvermoondragon, either on the forum or PI(pm’s sent to Sushidragon may get missed or you miss getting the spot you want), with the subject as Island Splash and the following form filled out:

Ooo I need to give this a try.

Registered racers have now been selected and posted, and it's quite the crowd we have this time! A few elementals, a misery, a shifter, a sybil, and even a few non-finned Samanayrs in addition to our aquatics and northern aquatics. This could prove to be a very exciting race!

I hope to see some of you around tomorrow to cheer on your Samanayrs. The race will run February 26, at 4:30pm PST

Hey guys, I'm so sorry I'm late, I only just got home from work now. Although unfortunately, I'm going to have to postpone the race. I may have some time Thursday, otherwise it'll have to be next week.

I work at a bird of prey rehabilitation center and I just can't believe what some people will do to animals. We just got a Coopers Hawk in, right at the end of the day, that someone had clipped its wings and tail, as well as the talons all the way down to the quick so they were bleeding. I guess maybe they thought it would be a good pet, then tossed it out when it started bleeding everywhere? Luckily she'll probably make a full recovery once her feathers have grown back, but it will take time.

YAY! chilling has a chance! ^^ Shes not built with flippers but she has been known to use her draconic wings in water! Go everyone GO! -wiggles-

I'm eager to see this race unfold, even if none of mine are taking part! (Cyclone was considering it, but he decided to let his water-lady do the racing. He'll be cheering her on. And if she doesn't win.. I don't know if I'd stay in the water, no telling what an annoyed storm elemental might do! XD)

No worries, silvermoondragon. What you're doing at work is much more important!

Oh that poor lady! Do not worry about it silver, like Rikku said, real life first, and your job is important, so when everything slows down for you, we will still be here!

and Seren (and mostly Cyclone) *shakes head* be nice to competitors (pranks are acceptable though ;3 )

Ok... I should have some time tonight for the race! I'm thinking 7:00pm PST so I hope some of you can make it.

Also, the Coopers Hawk is doing alright, lucky for her it's just before the molting season so she might not have to stay too long with us.
