Now I just need to track down someone with an aquatic that hasn't already entered the races... which might be difficult, especially if we have to enter by tomorrow. Eek! Question: Are the Sams being offered up for non-owners strictly for non-owners, or could someone with only a couple Samanayrs borrow one? I see some aquatics in there, and I have a friend who doesn't have an aquatic but might be interested in joining my triathlon team...

Oh yes. |D I'm quite aware, and tried to talk her into letting Valour have a run at it. But she merely snarled and told me I was even more of an idiot than she'd first realised if I thought she's let anyone else run in her place. Even in a team race.

I have a good handful of aquatics, or fliers, and even long legged ground Sams that will be available should people need other entries. I think I shall probably be using Crash or Pearl, but as soon as that is hammered out the unused one of those two will be available along with the rest of my lot. <3

@ Pristine - I don't see why people who already own Samanayrs can't also borrow from others so feel free to borrow someone else's Samanayr as long as they don't mind. It's mostly labelled non-owners just to make sure they know that they can participate.

Also, would people like if there were a random team option as well? In that case, just put random as your team name and other members and I can then put together random teams from those entries. In that case, if the teams run out of room(say too many aquatics apply to make even teams), those Samanayrs will then be entered in the corresponding main water/ground courses instead of the triathlon, should there still be space left in there.

OMG this would make all of this so much easier, thank you! I'm desperately trying to gather a team just because I think the triathlon is such a neat idea, but I'm not certain I'll gather one in time... so if I don't, I can always enter randomly!

I think the problem I'm finding is that there aren't enough Aquatic Sams! I didn't check on hybrids, but I believe there were only 21 Aquatics in the Database, and several of them belong to the same people (so those people have to offer them up for others' use for all of the Aquatics to even end up getting entered in races).

What would happen to fliers if they entered randomly in the triathlon, though? They would just miss out if they don't get paired in a team, I suspect..?

Fliers would just end up in the ground course since they can still run, there's just no flying allowed.

I mean, you don't have to enter an aquatic in the water race, any Samanayr that can swim is free to enter But yes, I see what you mean.

There are a fair number of swimmers who are hybrids, as well as the water elemental types. Or even regular Sams with fins! I'm sure everyone who really needs one, will be able to find a swimmer to join in!

If the Samanayr is not yours, do you understand that any medals won cannot be equipped to it unless they're given to the Sam's owner? Yes

Lack of aquatics you say? Well...I'm entering Jewel in the water course...but if anyone would like to borrow one of my other swimmers for a triathalon entry, they'd be happy to swim for you. Er...all but Flare. He'll swim for someone if they want, he just doesn't really do happy... Just let me know first so I can make sure no one gets borrowed twice.

Should I have put my ice misery in the water event? Im not sure if his powers would help him with that... :/ I was unsure.... which is why I chose ground.... he has the ability to freeze larger masses of WATER so he can run on it but can only freeze physical objects that are as big as or smaller than he is....


Advise? I did already apply for the ground but I truly wanted to do water^ ^;; I just didn't want to lose the chance for a slot...
