Splicing Dreams

We haven't done any silly forum games in a little while, so I figured I'd start one up for anybody who's interested.

Sushi has run events in the past where we take two Sams and "splice" them into a brand new one who isn't related to the two "parent" Sams. Gender, species, and general compatibility doesn't matter. The only caveat is that you need permission from the owner(s) in order to use their Sam(s).

In this game... you don't even need to worry about that! You have the entirety of the Sam world to choose from, whether the owners are still around or not.

RULES:

The person above you posted a Sam. If they were your first choice, who would be your second to splice with them? (And why? What would you hope for?)

Then the next person uses the Sam you chose to splice! Repeats are fine, if you really want to see a new splice with a previous Sam.

I'll start! Who would you splice with... Dance?

Hmm... I'd splice Dance with Ori's Gyre. Their colors and patterns would fit gorgeously together, and they just generally look like they'd be a great match. :3

I'd splice Gyre with Jenn's Confusion



I'd love to bring some blue in with Gyre's bright stripes oh and integrated... So cute!

I'd splice Confusion with Orasteele's Mystic of the Summer Mirage:



This guy just always fathers beautiful foals, and I'd love to see his blues, tan, and white with her intense blue and purple! Plus intergrated x scales x Desert x Faery wings x multiple legs/tails x mystic... @___@ Amazing combination!

I'd splice Mystic with Reky's Depth of the Wayward Ghost-light. Desert-Cave dwelling Water Mystic, regular scales dotted with glowing gems, bright (literally) blue hooves and eyes, and a gorgeous combination of black, white, tan, blue, and a touch of green. That'd be one gorgeous Sam. o3o

Depth is gorgeous - Those traits would look good with any sam! I'd splice him with Xenon's Shriek of the Furious Stratus - Those awesome bioluminescent spines with Shriek's wings and feathered tail, plus horns (that maybe glow, too!) would be such a cool combination.

Just think that red would look fantastic with his blue, plus black faded wings with the barring would be stunning.

I keep imagining that their splice would have extensive foot tufts, and the three black legs would have regular colored peacock feathers tied into them, while the one white leg would have albino peacock feathers... ^^ And then with the mix of reddish brown and dark greens, what more could you want?

Jenn, this thread is making me yearn for another Splicing event. All of the gorgeous possibilities I hadn't considered before. ;-;

Because such a beautiful green colour makes me think of earth elementals, and I think the resulting splicespring would look absolutely gorgeous!

Dart's greens and warmer colors would mix beautifully with Terran's greens and browns. Plus, either way it went (a Minayr with Elemental traits or an Elemental with Minayr traits), the offspring would be both gorgeous and awesome!

I'm a sucker for florae and I think it'd be neat to see how darts bold colors and large stripes combine with Virtue's subtle dapples and pale colors. I think the greens and the brassy yellow of Virtue's scales tie them together nicely.

Trickster for sure! The white markings on Quirk have always reminded me of tribal markings. Trickster's white black and red would go well with the pine-greens I think. Between the two of them they have four species so a boatload of traits. Hooks or talons, fluffiness, maybe a prehensile tail... So much potential!

It's funny to see Sirocco pop up like that... I will say, Sirocco and Trickster would probably have the wildest rainbow trickster to ever soar above the Hotsprings. |D It'd be like a nucleur-mischievous time bomb.

Someday, this is going to happen. And it is going to be the most gorgeous foal I can possibly imagine. Because reasons. It's just convenient that these two, who I'd splice in a heartbeat, are also breeding-compatible.
