Mimic Fun

After a long (and very serious ) discussion about Samanayrs with my friend Raitalle, we got on to the subject of mimics. They weren't just any mimics mind you, but special mimics. An example would be one of my favorite Sams below.



During this very serious discussion, we started to dream up mimics and their names. This got me wondering, what would be some other good mimic+name combinations be? Something like 'Gremlin of Sprawling Plains' for a lawn gnome mimic. Or 'Giggles of Frightening Entertainment' for a clown.

Anyone else have any amusing suggestions?

A laywer mimic might be "Standard of Monetary Acquisition"!

...okay, that was bad. *beans self*

How about a microphone mimic? The Sam could have an afro! XD
And for a name... 'Scream of metal melodies'?
Ah, I don't know. -dies- Name's aren't my forte. X3

Oooh, what about a cellphone mimic, it could be called Buzz of musical communication.
or a lightbulb mimic called Shine of spherical light
or a clock mimic called Tick of neverending timekeeping
or a pencil mimic called Point of Artistic Graphite

Ok, I'll stop now...

Mimics are very serious indeed

I love the suggestions so far XD And silvermoondragon, that lightbulb Sam is adorable!

I'd like to have Samanayr mimics based on some of my appliances that I have a particularly fond relationship with:

Toaster - Gift of Toasted Bread (a white Lamanayr with brown toast-like wings)
Coffee maker - Giver of Morning Joy (curvy and possibly steaming)
Fridge - Hum of Food Preserved (uh.. not sure how the fridge could be mimicked XD)

A Sam fridge...now there's something to inspire bizarre dreams 0.o;

I think I could see a Sam fridge... a creamy off white color, with a few vertical and horizontal lines, something to make a shape more square and door-like. With a black square marking somewhere for an icemaker. XD

I think I'd like to see a keyboard mimic. Black, with some sort of not-quite-square marking all over its body, and some nonsensical design in each of the squares. Clack of the Rapid Fingers. ::is a dork::

Hah hah, a keyboard-mimic would be awesome XD When Glassgryph breeding season is over and I can run Samanayr events without feeling guilty for not working on Glassgryphs, there definitely needs to be an inanimate object mimic event!

Oh that would be amazing! It would be so much fun to see the Sams that come of an event like that! ::puts a little sticky on the keyboard idea saying "Reserved for Kendrah":: XD I'll definitely be patiently keeping an eye out for that one so that I can enter when the time comes. You always run such interesting events!

I want a Samanayr bed-mimic. Maybe because I'm feeling particularly tired. It would be "Comfort of the Supine Lounge" ;P

Or food mimics. I could come up with a hundred food mimics. A broccoli-mimic named "Crunch of the Emerald Floret"... or a pineapple-mimic, "Juice of the Sunny Flesh." Mmmm, broccoli and pineapples... except not in the same dish... ;P

Library Sam: "Realm of Endless Stories" (can someone think of a better name?)



....my other ideas are too lame to even post >_<
