In the running:

leaps twice the height of the branch!
Leap of the Tossing Canopy leaps more than twice the height of the branch!
leaps clear of the beam.
nearly clips the beam, but makes it over!
leaps well over the branch!
Omen of the Approaching Storm leaps twice the height of the hurdle!

I do believe that they are all trying to impress each other. And showing off.

*listens to Wrath merrily singing nonsense about jumping*

The Sharians raise the branch to position 6!

In the running:

jumps ridiculously clear of the branch. Seriously. Just ridiculous.
Leap of the Tossing Canopy jumps too low, and takes down the branch with his chest!
leaps just enough to clear the branch and land lightly on the far side.
makes up for the near-miss last time, clearing the branch with room to spare!
charges up to the hurdle with great speed, but sails directly into the beam...ouch!
Omen of the Approaching Storm just barely clears the obstacle!

The Sharians raise the branch to position 7!

In the running:

leaps very enthusiastically clear of the branch!
leaps the branch but a solid thunking noise rings out. The branch wobbles...and falls!
jumps well clear of the obstacle, but not too far!
Omen of the Approaching Storm also makes a knocking noise on the beam. It vibrates a little bit, but stays up!

Ooo and we're down to the final three!

*shakes head* Ridiculous is a good word for Wrath, yes. Such a silly girl. And apparently enjoying herself very much here! Such enthusiasm!

In the running:

doubles the height of the branch!
just barely clears the branch!
Omen of the Approaching Storm leaps, but knocks her knees on a knurl in the branch. Her knuckle makes a sound and the branch falls as she lands on the small...er, knoll of pine straw. Kn!

Okay...yes, Wrath is clearly showing off how good of a leaper she is. I knew she was bouncy, but apparently when she puts her mind to it that girl has springs for legs!

In the running:

leaps well clear of the branch!
also clears the branch easily!

So, I wonder how high this branch will go before one of the last two missteps or fumbles their way into it?

In the running:

jumps...high enough to clear the branch but with about a hoof-length to spare. Could she be running out of steam?
also clips the branch, but doesn't take it down!

leaps high, higher, higher....and into the branch, knocking it down!
waits for the beam to be reset, then clears it without the slightest bit of room to spare.

The crowd gasps in unison and cheers the champion jumpers! The Sharians breathe a sigh of relief; if the branch had needed to go any higher, they would have had to untie the lower positions to recycle them for higher jumps!

With the Guest Custom, can Animal Mimic be selected as a trait? (It's within the Rarity limit, but it usually involves the artist applying extra traits outside the 2-trait limit.)

About Animal Mimic as a trait... my best guess without a Sushi ruling is that it falls under this question from the last batch of growing sams:

You can certainly have traits, markings, and colors that mimic an animal! 'Animal mimic' isn't really a trait all on its own, since it requires other traits for it to be applicable.

You could do something like my Meditation who is a Canadian Goose mimic with just the most basic Lamanayr traits. Linky

Be it Boomer or Custom for Cosmic, could I go for the Semi-custom? I've gotten a few 'big Sams' as of late, and I think a nice little semi-custom would work - even if I do think Boomer and Wrangler could be great bouncing Australian partners in crime XD whoever gets him should know that Wrangler is very willing to be friends with him and anyone who comes out of this! He's a little snuggly, wiggly buddy-for-life who loves any and all new friends-to-be XD
