It Started Out as an Exercise...

And she became something else!

It was just supposed to be a series of quick sketches to practice the human (or a humanlike) form, but Calamity refused to just be a sketch. No, she demanded to be at least colored! It took about 20 minutes and it very rough, but still. I'm quite pleased with the way she turned out. She's a Sam-thro! Humanoid versions of your favorite Sammies! I shrunk her wings because I liked how her arm turned out. I'm in a life drawing class and this was a pose used by one of the models!

So... what do you guys think?

Hehe, Calamity certainly would demand more difficult things, wouldn't she? ^^ And I may be a bit biased, but I love the sketch; the roughness captures her energy so well, and her pose and expression is somewhere perfectly between mischievous teasing and evil plotting...I'm almost afraid to let her see it, lest she gets any more ideas from it. XD

It's Cuddle! A work in progress, but I intend to finish her sometime later today, after the birthday party! She's all like, "SQUEE BABY! <3" The baby in her arms is supposed to be Searing and Hiss' baby, and he'll get cleaned up to look more like a Sammy and less like a football with eyes. XD

After Cuddle's done, who should I do next?

Oh my! That is so Cuddle! She'd love to cuddle and coo at the little baby! So happy! And baby just...does not quite know what to think of this pink cooing thing... And I see his little 'gryph buddy too! So cute! Thank you!

It's hard to do happy looking solid eyes, but I think she looks pretty happy. XD She's mostly pink because, well, gray looked just so depressing and white wouldn't show up very easily! So she's tickled pink.
