Okay, we had such a GORGEOUS batch of foals, and I'm so happy to have my second Sam and my first filly!
But I'm having such a hard time coming up with names! For fun, I've come up with some random Sam names in the past... but none would suit her! <<

So, I'm going to cheat (?) and ask for some name ideas. If you'd like to submit a full name, that's fine, but I'll probably tweak things ad give it at least a bit of my own...

Her parents are Chilling of Glacial Skies and Plunge of Burning Skies.
So yes, Skies may factor into the name. XD

Chinook of the Mountain’s Lee

A little explanation here since Chinook isn’t a term everyone is familiar with... Meteorologically speaking when warm moist air is forced to rise over mountains, it cools and precipitates most of its water as snow. As it passes over the mountain it descends down the slope and heats up more rapidly than the surrounding air. The resulting wind coming down the leeward side of the mountain can be dramatically warmer than the prevailing conditions.

I liked the name Chinook for her since it of plays off both her parents, hot and cold and her apparent need for speed. Blergh that ended up way longer than I had meant it to -_-

She looks like she's tipped with flame, what with her markings. Point? Tip? Hint?

Ripple of the Melting Skies? She has ripply patterns on her, and when you combine burning with glacial you'd get melting.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I loved them all, but I decided to go with a first name that had no others (Glacier and Winds were taken, I'm afraid.)

So her name is Dive of the Melting Glacier. I tried to fit in her parent's names, as well as your suggestions, and her own spin.

The dragonet is going to be Chinook, thank you amazondreamer. :3
