Sam-shower! *rolls happily in the puddles*

But yuss, Sushi caught me at the absolute perfect time for this project, since I was just graduating and don't yet have a job secured. I could afford to laze around in my PJs for a little while and just fiddle around with code. xD

Shower of Samanayrs is forthcoming! :D

The database has now been transferred over to my server, but it's going to be a day or two before it opens up for reals. My goal is to get all of the IDed Sams watermarked and uploaded (100 done so far!) and to get as many of the non-IDed Samanayrs in there as I can. There's going to be a big ol' post of explosive happiness when the database is open for reals, so if you do stumble across the database on my site please leave it alone for now XD It's not quite ready!

I'd like to give another huge thank you to Jennalyn for doing this, and also a huge thank you to everyone who helped out testing it :D If you were a tester, I'd like to give you a modiem of your choice - just let me know what you'd like, and I'll add it to your shiny new Samanayr site inventory!

Thank you!!!!!!!!

EDIT: oh there are breedings open!!! :D goes to read the rest of the new posts...

I went through every Sam in the database (all 251!) and found just a few errors/missing info/broken links. Jenn said only Sushi can edit the database, so here's the list thus far! I may have missed something, but at least, if and when anybody need it, here it is! The first couple I didn't write the IDs for. >_> >_< I probably missed a lot of "head mane"s as well. I'll be adding to it. :)

All of the recent Elementals are missing abilities, too. <3 And the Shifter probably needs a note as well.

Ah, I knew I'd miss something! XD If you have the ID numbers, Jenn, I can edit them into my list if you like. :)

190, 192, and 193 are the Elementals. I love it - all I have to do is species-search Elemental and they pop up. xD The Shifter is 191.

Ooh, the database is going to be such fun to look through! And now I can find out just what traits a Sam has.

Did notice one thing missing from one of my Sams.

074 is not listed as being in a Song, but she's part of Glint's Song of the Rainbow IV.

Yeah, a lot of Sams who are in Songs aren't listed as being in those Songs. That's a whole nother list to be developed, for anyone who has the time. xD

*bounces up and down while waving hand* Beat of the Wild Jungle should have the ID of 056, not 054 XD Mystic of the Echoing Jungle should have ID of 175, not 174.

And #s 053, 052, 092, 095 are all having issues with or are missing their thumbnail images :D

If you need help with data entry Jenn, let me know. I spent the summer of 08 doing that XD I got up this morning to add in more from last night, and found that it was all done XD I was all "awwwww, but I wanted to do more!" XD So yes, even if it's just menial work, I'd love to help out. Even without a reward from Sushi XD I work for free!

*is also tired from replanting strawberries plants all day*

All of mine are fully updated, as far as I'm aware :D

Song-hunting the Sams that are currently in the database would be wicked. <3 Some Songs may be in weird places. Some of the time, googling their name turns up something. And I have no access to PI, so I have no clue if people set up Songs there or not. xD

Yikes, that's a lot of stuff for me to go through and fix XD I'll get on it after drawing tonight!

Tomorrow I'm planning to open the database to everyone, although I'm continuing to input the non-IDed Sams. I'm going to make a dedicated thread for database errors so that I know where everything is XD You don't need to repost these changes to the new thread, but please make sure to post anything that needs to be changed in the new thread from now on!

But regarding Bloom (#74) - when I put the Song of the Rainbow in the database, I had her down as the lead mare, and she appears as the lead mare when the Song itself is searched, but I guess the lead mare's record still needs to edited to show the Song she's in?

Harroway and silvermoondragon, I added your modiems to your inventories :D LvSoulFriend, please let me know which modiem you'd like too!

Oh Sushi, you don't have to fix all these yourself! If you make the database open to everyone, we all can go in and find and fix everything ourselves. It's a little much to ask one person to do all that. :)

Well, each person is able to edit their own Samanayrs (except for name), but Sam and Song names, errors with IDs, and records for folks who aren't around right now need to be edited by me :D

Question, should sams that do not have ID numbers be added to the database by owners or should we wait till you've gotten a watermarked image uploaded to your PB before adding them?

*jaw hits the floor* Awwh Sushi!! You don't have to do that! We did it to help you out as much as possible. Afterall, finding the errors helps us as much as it helps you! <3

But if you are insistent I would love a Species modium. <3
