Re: October pickups!
Oh my, I must be dreaming! My first Lamanayr?! EEEE!
Wow, she's perfect! <3 The colours are spot-on. Her whole body looks as if she has been kissed by the sun. I really like how her tousled head mane and tufted tail are both are naturally streaked rather than geometrically aligned in rows. And that groovy coco heishe bleached necklace with pukalet and caveman accent completes her appearance. The big grin on her face as she flies upside-down perfectly demonstrates her carefree attitude, taking life as it rolls in with the waves, or rather, air currents. She is a ray of sunshine that brightens my day! You did an awesome job on her, Sushi. Oh, my new Lamanayr mare still needs a name, doesn't she? Hmm…how about Kiss of the Bright Sun. Thank you ever so much!
Congratulations iforgotmybirthday1, Takaeji, AranelSaraphim, and Origami_Dragon! Your new Samanayrs/Lamanayrs/Northerns are quite eye-catching too.
*Does a little back-tracking*
Echo of the Icy Deeps and Whirl of the Glacial Wave are adorable! Both stallion and mare are great representatives of the newest species, the Northern Aquatics, the first to dive into the waters of the Samanayr world. They remind me of seals- friendly, graceful, and pleasingly plump. You really captured those qualities in them, Sushi. I also love their cool colours, especially the bubble markings. Now I want to adopt a Northern Aquatic of my own.
What a divinely beautiful lady is Sibyl of the Twisting Nebula! She truly does resemble a female prophet. It is as if she can connect with the cosmos. I'm impressed that brown was used instead of black to represent the nebula. That was a good choice; the brown seems to enrich the orange, blues, violets and whites while still being capable of representing the dark, endless fathoms of space. I also like how the "stars" are positioned on her foot tufts, which are a really nice touch, and the silver star attached to her tail is a cute accessory.
Oh-oh-oooh, the perfect word to describe Grandeur of the Ancient Ruins is majestic. He rears up, pausing for a moment, as if to strike a pose, before taking flight. The butterfly and feathered wings make a stunning combination. They look like polished gemstones.
Although it took four years for those Gaia Sams to grow, when they finally did, it seemed they grew up so fast. Every one turned out splendidly!

Re: October pickups!
Oooh, look at the gorgous grown up babies! Even though the first set are hybrids rather than full Elementals...they look so much like they really could be Elementals themselves. I think Amity is my favorite of the set. But they're all lovely! Congrats you guys! Gorgeous new Sams you have!

Rend is just so proud of his offspring! They look amazing Sushi!!
Re: October pickups!
Holy cow! Both sets of twins look absolutely amazing! I can't decide which ones I like the best, though I simply adore Calamity and Hazard's names. XD
Re: October pickups!
Ooh, you weren't kidding about having fun with Elementation; all of the twins are just so much fun to stare at. ^^ Have to love the white/blue fire manes for Calamity and Hazard...though, between that and their spurs, I'm pretty sure I would have been right in not hugging them, even as foals. *wide grin* Thanks so much Sushi!

Re: October pickups!
And here's the first two customs all finished - both breedings, and the first new species created through modiems!
Illiayrs are a cave-dwelling species who lived underground in seclusion for many years. Their traits are long legs, opaque/milky eyes, extremely long mane and tufted tail, and long flexible spines that run down the spinal column. Their hooves, eyes, and the tips of their spine glow as a result of eating phosphorous lichen. There is also a small chance of a foal being born with wing tines, which is the only type of wing an Illiayr can have.
In coloration they tend to be very pale with brighter colors at the tips of the hair and at the ends of the spines.
The species was created by Orasteele

Re: October pickups!
Babies! Illiayrs are going to be fun to see around! Wonder what they'd make of one who was created through a modiem breeding and had the brightest, most vivid colors imaginable? But they make adorable babies! Look at those huge eyes and ears and the tiny little spines! Congrats on the new species Steele!
*squees* And look at my little colt! And his buddy! Such adorable itty bitty wings and all fallen over... I think I got a sneak peak at him all grown up last night and he's going to be a handsom fellow! but right now he's just adorable! Thank you Sushi!

Oooh, she did grow up pretty! And look at that loooong mane and tail! And the glow! Pretty glow... I can see this becoming a popular species once it's made available.
