The Race

Ocean Floor

This is an aquatic race set on the floor of the ocean. Entrants should be able to swim and hold their breath for a fairly long length of time, although strategically placed air pockets will be available for contestants.

There are 10 spots open for this race.

The apply for a race spot, send a PM to my account, silvermoondragon (pm’s sent to Sushidragon may get missed), with the subject as Ocean Floor and the following form filled out:

Hmmm! Would a Shifter be able to enter, if they had access to a water form? Or would that be cheating? XD

@LvSoulFriend - that would be perfectly fine, as long as the Samanayr(in any form) can swim and hold their breath for a reasonable length of time they are welcome to join. Even a non-aquatic species without fins could enter, they would just be at a rather large disadvantage to those built for swimming.

And go they do! These racers are going strong, but the next obstacle may be lurking around the next corner...

And sure enough, a number of racers run into the first obstacle, a series of undersea vents shooting out boiling hot water. Better use extra caution navigating through this minefield!

I wonder where everyone else is... I've never seen a race this quiet.

A few racers clear the vents only to run into the next obstacle, a deep and dark abyss. Who knows what critters are hiding in these murky depths!

Just when our racers thought they might have a bit of a break, the third obstacle comes into view. This time it's an old shipwreck encrusted in barnacles with long mast posts sticking up from the bottom.

I am doing dishes while watching so I was hoping someone else would arrive to help cheer on the Sams hahaha!

And with this round some of our racers are nearing the finish. Who will cross first?

Both Mystics eye each other before making a final dash to the finish. In a flurry of bubbles, the two cross the line at what would appear to be the same time by a watchers eye, but the referee called Mystic of the Craggy Firth as the winner by only a millisecond.

And with that Lure of the Hunting Dragonet crosses the finish claiming third place from a wave of other Samanayrs to cross only one round behind.
