Congrats everyone who got in!
I was going to apply... then I realized I had no one yet who would be good for it... then I never asked anyone if I could borrow a sam... XD
Pristine, I know this is random but I feel like your parts are going to be especially hilarious... XD

Posting can begin in just under four hours, for anyone eager enough to get a jump on things so soon. xD I'm really looking forward to this event. The Sharians are going to have some cold, wet explorers to welcome back to the ship when everything's said and done!

Re: Expedition #9
I'm really enjoying reading all these entries so far! So much personality all these Sams bring to the table. X3 And I'm glad you guys are enjoying Hunter so far. He'd been really difficult to write for, but this event seems to have brought him out of hiding. :3

He's adorably cocky! XD We've got a few grumpy characters! XD It's fun to play them, though Essence is more anti-social than gloomy. XD

Re: Expedition #9
He's coming through loud and clear now, Blue. A delightful little cuss. Truly entertaining!
I have several of the first responses mostly written out, barring items. I'll wait on that until I'm ready to post so that everyone has an even opportunity. It's mostly the setting stuff that currently exists. And... is very fun. :3 I'll be rolling dice for a few things to see if anyone makes out like bandits or is unexpectedly unlucky.

Re: Expedition #9
The first wave of responses are in! We have't heard from two of our participants yet, so hopefully they can join us for the second round. I'll be waiting at least another two days to respond again, most likely not until after Sunday's over and done with. (This weekend is busy! Picking up a new machine, taking ratties to the vet, meeting up with a friend all day Sun for a craft/tea/fun day...)
There are definitely more fun prizes for everyone to find! <3 Just be careful - round two is where you might lose items as well as gain them... muahaha! My d20 is at the ready.

Re: Expedition #9
Oh man I'm having so much fun with this expedition! Although my lungs hurt in sympathy with Acrobat's (silly me kept holding my breath as a wrote >.<). The pets look awesome, I'm highly amused that the feline-like Hunter found himself with a canine-like mage construct Guardian's little gray dragonet is just gorgeous I love her simplicity.
Everyone's posts are awesome so far, I can't wait to see more and to see how this all wraps up!

Re: Expedition #9
This week turned out to be a lot busier than I expected! However, I should have the house all to myself on Sunday, so that promises time to write. I'll have things wrapped up by the end of Sunday for sure.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Re: Expedition #9
I apologize for the delay and I thank everyone for your patience. My Nanna went back into the hospital in August, which unfortunately took the time I would normally have used to work on my response to this. She's been in and out since April, but we hadn't anticipated her needing to go back so soon. :/ I have the finishing entry about 3/4 of the way typed up and I promise you that it will be completed by the end of this week.

Not an issue Jenn, life happens and we all understand. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother's health problems. Take the time to be there for your family, we'll be here whenever

Re: Expedition #9
No, they have not. I am so sorry.
My Nanna is still under medical care - she developed bronchitis in the hospital and so they're not releasing her until that's cleared up. They've been pushing her release date back every few days for two weeks now and she's still coughing terribly. Since Mom and I are the only people who go see her, I spend most hours that I'm not working or sleeping at the care center (excepting when friends get me out), and I can't write more than a paragraph or so on my phone without discomfort (hence my participation elsewhere and this response).
This has been a ridiculously prolonged experience and I cannot wait for it to end - the wrap-up of the Expedition will likely conclude the day after she gets out, for how eager I am to see everyone receive their due prizes.

Oh that's terrible! I hope she gets better soon - for the sake of her health more than anything else. I know this probably doesn't mean much but, send her my best regards, and well wishes, next time you see her :(

Re: Expedition #9
I am so pleased to say that Nanna has come home this weekend. They wanted to keep her another week, but Mom argued that they weren't doing anything we couldn't provide. She's spent the weekend with us and will return to her house with other family tomorrow... which means that this particular medical saga has finally come to a close.
Fingers crossed.
Which means that this particular Expedition may also come to a close! Expect an update within the next few days, and please accept all of my smooches and luff for your patience.
