Hello all and welcome to a Coloring Contest...but with a twist !

The following Northern Aquatic mare is what is up for grabs! However...there is a problem. As you
can likely see...she has no color! With this being said I think you can figure out what needs to be
done...Yes! Your right! She needs to be colored!


Traits: Flippers, Tusks, Tines, Otter Tail, Pudgy, Velveted Fur, Round ears

Simple enough...BUT! The winner will be decided on by which colors you choose! This little lady is very
particular about what she wants to be, which is why she told me a list of 6 colors that she REALLY wants
on her...IF she gets those colors it will be up to you to decide! Whoever guesses the most or all 6 colors
will win her! (A random number will be picked as a tie-breaker if more than one person guess them
all correct )

EVEN IF YOU CANT COLOR AND SCAN YOU CAN STILL ENTER THIS CONTEST!!!! FILL
OUT THE FORM AND SUBMIT IT!!

winners!

SO! Pretty much...you need to pick the right 6 colors! BUT as a perk, you can color her in the pattern you'd like as well! You dont HAVE to color your entry (Some people don't have a scanner or colored pencils or a means to upload) but you do still have to pick the colors. If you choose not color an entry or if you are unable to, I will color her for you with the winning colors you picked and the pattern of your choice.

1 Entry Per PERSON not account.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ENTER A COLORED SAM IF YOU DON’T WANT, It is just to give you the
opportunity to have your own colored sam if able

You can only enter on the Sam forum

Post your entry to this thread before the deadline

You may change it at anytime up until the deadline

COLORED PENCIL ONLY! No other medium will be accepted. Sorry.

The pattern, locations of colors and amount of the color used are not important and will not help or hurt
your entry in terms of winning, only for your forms entry is it important.

Stay in the lines as best you can. We can touch it up if needed but would like to keep it how you did it.

Size will be adjusted by sushi to correct size so don't worry if you print it out big or medium sized.

Fill out the form and submit it before November 5th, 2012 at 1:00 pm Sam forum time (PST). Late entries will not be accepted, sorry.

Just to be sure I understand, if the winner does do their own coloring of the lineart (with colored pencils) that's what will be resized and certed? So it'd be like a guest-colorist thing?

If anyone is unable to I will color it for them... or they could have someone else color it for them too if they desire (guest artist). ^_^; I wouldnt be offended.

But in essence... its a guest artist color contest with a twist to make it less on talent and more on chance.

Can we use a computer program to color it to show what we want the design to be, and then have the artist color it?

Also.. are there any colorists who would like to offer their services as colorists for the winner? I wont lie...Im ok at coloring but I know others who are REALLY good. ;D Let us know if your willing to offer your services...IF Youd like


Dap - HEY! -wiggles- ^.^ how are you darling? Hope your excited! Just be sure to pick the right colors, you dont HAVE to color if you dont want to Thats just the fun part of it. lol Gives you the chance to create the pattern and then color your own work... or have someone else do it. lol Either way the coloring itself is just a fun perk you guys get to have if wanted or able.

Pattern: I'm not quite sure how to explain her looks... she's kind of like a torpedo, or like... wearing a wetsuit or something silly! A stripe of dark grey down her back, nose to tail tip, red outlined fins and bottom of the tail, with a pretty much blue body, and a white neck area and most of her head. (oh there's grey on the backs of her ears too). And with bright yellow eyes, obviously :D
If you couldn't see the pink - she's blushing... XD
And I had to change greys while coloring her because I lost the one I was using because it rolled under the bed and I couldn't find it (le stupid here!) Ask Seren - she'll confirm that!

I can't afford ink, so most likely I'll just have this form! ^w^

Pattern: Those tines and tusks remind me of pumpkin stalks, so they would be brown. That tuft of fur? Green for the leaves of course! Her body should be orange with tints of red and yellow. She'd be striped with brown lines much like a pumpkin is sectioned. Her eyes would be a lovely halloweeny purple. On her face she would have a jagged black 'carved' smile and black rings round her eyes.

Pattern: Body a gradient, with black on her back, white on her belly and flippers, and gray inbetween. Two stripes, one green and one purple, running down her sides from her head to her tail. Face and tip of tail with a stylized blue mask/cap that the stripes stop at- like she's pointed, but with fancier edges. A few, small, stylized blue markings on her legs to match.

I know I won't have time to color her before the deadline is up, but if I win and you wanted me to, I could do it then- I think you're selling your coloring abilities a bit short though. *smiles* Thanks for hosting this Rikku, and I can't wait to see what she ends up looking like!

^_^ I will color the winning entry just as depicted in the pictures to those who are unsure of their skill. It is NO PROBLEM AT ALL So if you win Dap I will gladly make sure your sam is exactly how you intended her to be in your picture Sushi does like quality with her sams so I dont want anyone worried about a quick drawn entry. Like I said before.. This contest has nothing to do with your coloring ability, its mainly to make sure that you get the color combo right and you can have your idea for pattern put into light.

So dont worry! Im sure no matter who wins, the outcome will be wonderful!
