The Race
Birthday Balloons
This is a hot air balloon course, Samanayrs will be choosing hot air balloons to race in. Samanayrs must stay in the balloons while racing
There are 10 spots open for this race.
Special Rules
This race is similar to the toboggan race and involves your Samanayr racing in a hot air balloon of choice. In your racing application you will choose 1 of the 3 available hot air balloons based on their stats. You’ll also pick a colour, but that’s just for fun.
Speed: How fast the hot air balloons can go while up in the air
1 = roll of 1,2,3
2 = roll of 2,3,4,5
3 = roll of 4,5,6
Lift: How fast the hot air balloon can go during the ascension phase(at the beginning of the race)
1 = roll of 1,2,3
2 = roll of 2,3,4,5
3 = roll of 4,5,6
Maneuverability: How well you can avoid obstacles
1 = x2 more difficult
2 = normal difficulty
3 = x2 less difficult
The race will be similar to usual layout with obstacles; however, there is a slight difference. The first part of the race involves the racers reaching a certain height(which will be at half the course), this part of the race relies on your balloon's lift. Once the Samanayrs reach the designated height, the race continues as normal with this part relying on your balloon's speed. Currently, traits have no effect on the hot air balloons or the obstacles your Samanayr will come across on the race. As the finish line has been place up in the sky, there is no need to descend until after the race.

NOTE: I'm not an expert on hot air balloons, so these traits are probably not 100% accurate
Rozière balloon
Speed: 1
Lift: 3
Maneuverability: 2
Montgolfier Balloon
Speed: 3
Lift: 2
Maneuverability: 1
Solar Balloon
Speed: 2
Lift: 1
Maneuverability: 3
So for example, a Samanayr in a Rozière balloon would rise with rolls of 4, 5, or 6, but would then move forward with rolls of 1, 2 or 3; When hitting an obstacle, the Samanayr would have normal chance at getting past.
Prizes!
The best part, of course. Prizes will be assigned to the first, second, and third place racers in each race. The main prize for each place in this race is a balloon. A balloon is a globe of light attached to a string. They act like a permanent modiem, and depending on the place you win, you can choose a modiem of different point values.
For now, a Samanayr can only wear one balloon at a time, but balloons can be equipped and unequipped. There is also no limit to how many balloons a Samanayr can win!
